Import and Export Hotkeys

Use the Import Hotkeys and Export Hotkeys options in the Tools menu to import and export hotkey configuration (*.HKX) files.

NOTE: Use the options on the Keyboard tab of the Customize dialog to set custom keyboard accelerators (shortcut keys/key combinations) for often-used commands. See the

Customize Dialog - Keyboard Tab on page 201

for details.

• • Import Hotkeys - This option allows you to import a (previously exported) hotkey configuration (.HKX) file. Before you can select an HKX file, the programs alerts you that the imported file will overwrite the current keyboard hotkey settings. Click *OK to access the Open dialog, where you can locate and select the desired HKX file.
  • Export Hotkeys - This option allows you to export the current keyboard hotkey configuration settings as a *.HKX file. The application will prompt you specify a filename (in the Save As dialog). This file can then be imported, in which case the hotkey settings saved in the HKX file will overwrite the current hotkey configuration.
