Zero-Conf ig Networking

The Zero-Config tab of the Workspace Bar (FIG. 247) provides Zero-Config networking functionality within NetLinx Studio. Zero- Config networking provides the ability to automatically discover devices that are present on the LAN.

Generating a List of Network Devices

Right-click inside the Zero-Config tab to access the Zero-Config context menu, and select Refresh Zero-Conf ig List to generate a listing of all Zero-Config devices detected on the LAN (FIG. 248):

Zero Conf iguration Error

Zero-Configuration network scans require the Bonjour for Windows package. If Bonjour is not detected, NetLinx Studio will prompt you to visit Apple’s website to download the package (FIG. 249):

Conf iguring a Device via Zero-Conf ig Networking

Once you have generated a listing of devices of Zero-Config devices on the network (right-click inside the Zero-Config tab and select Refresh List), you can access any device in the list simply by double-clicking on it's entry. This action invokes the device's Web Control page (HTML). Use the Web Control pages to configure the device as desired. Refer to the device's Operation/Reference Guide for detailed configuration instructions and descriptions of settings (FIG. 250).
